All kits include lots of pre printed "Ready to Cut Patterns" in various sizes and printed on specially selected paper. The color of your cuttings and the number of pieces you can make will depend on how you arrange your patterns and paper. Enough material is included to produce many cuttings on black silhouette paper or antique gold paper. Extra paper is also provided to make extra cuttings or to use as a background for your cuttings.   What are pre-printed & ready to cut patterns? To make your paper cutting experience easier and more fun, our patterns are pre-printed and ready to cut which means you will never need to trace & transfer your patterns onto the cutting paper.   Why is our paper best? Paper Cutting Traditions paper is light gauge and easy to cut but tough enough to resist rips & tears during the paper cutting process & not likely to absorb dirt & moisture from handling. This thin, light gauge paper allows you to cut through multiple layers making it perfect for folded patterns or doubling up your patterns.       Bilaterally Symmetrical Patterns Pre-printed patterns which are bilaterally symmetrical can be cut several ways.     Patterns on "Antiqued" Gold Paper Pre-printed patterns are available on gold "antiqued" paper. Each 8"x12" sheet contains one or more patterns. We recommend using our contrasting Black European Style Silhouette Paper as a background for your completed work. Our pattern kits include paper for this purpose.     Patterns on Black European Style Silhouette Paper Patterns are available on our fine quality black silhouette paper. This unusual paper is pure white on one side and the blackest of black on the other. It actually has a black coating which remains a pure, perfect black.  Easy on your eyes and easy to cut because the patterns are on a white background. Each 8"x12" sheet contains one or more patterns. We recommend using our contrasting "Antiqued" gold or tan paper as a background for your completed work. Our pattern kits include paper for this purpose.
