Welcome to Paper Cutting Traditions
The Paper Cutting Traditions website is new but we've been cutting Silhouette Portraits and Scherenschnitte for over 25 years. Most would agree that this ancient form of folk art has been almost entirely ignored by the craft supply industry. In the states there has always been a limited selection of Paper Cutting books, patterns and supplies and finding genuine paper cutting products is a frustrating experience. Paper cutters are usually self-taught and frustrated with the few products available. Our goal is to change that and offer the best paper cutting supplies and equipment we can find. We intend to offer products that have been specifically designed or specifically selected for the paper cutting enthusiast. We hope to:
  • Introduce people to Silhouettes, Scherenschnitte & Paper Cutwork
  • Instruct and help people learn how to cut paper
  • Inspire new & experienced cutters
  • Provide a forum for enthusiasts to share their knowledge, tips & ideas
  • Offer the very best in genuine paper cutting products
  • Offer new patterns & ideas
